The idea didn't arrive on cue. It arrived in Bali, mid-lockdown, while a clothing brand Alice was building quietly stalled. A pair of cowboy boots stopped her in her tracks. She didn't look back. Sharp instincts. A taste for whatever's next. The rest followed.
Built by women, for women. Duke's is self-funded, independent, and made exactly the way Alice wanted it.
The Process
At 23, Alice left London for Shanghai with just a backpack and £1,000. On the ground, she learnt the realities of production - the importance of fit, finish and the people behind it. A little older, just as ballsy, Alice returned chasing excellence, cutting-edge tech and, now, the Duke's dream.
Working side by side, she built a relationship with a specialist factory known for its precision and small-batch quality. Think traditional bootmaking, sharpened by Asia's most advanced techniques.
It took countless samples, obsessive fittings and a London-based footwear technician to get the Duke's boot right. Every detail was considered. Every corner, questioned. These boots are made to be lived in and built to outlast all of it.
